St. John Paul II is to be a vibrantly Catholic parish distinguished by three main characteristics: intensely Eucharistic, fervently Marian, and solidly Petrine.

The holy Eucharist is the heart of any Christian experience and of any Christian community. From the Eucharist we will strive to be sacrificial, to celebrate the gift of life, to reach out in service to those who are hungry and hurting.

Devotion to Mary, the Mother of Jesus, will allow us to be open to the promptings of the Holy Spirit and to say in obedience and humility “let it be done according to your word.” From Mary we will receive the command to “do whatever He tells us.” With her we shall go out in haste to meet our brothers and sisters and to proclaim the greatness of the Lord.

Lastly, with Mary we will stand at the foot of Cross with a vigilant and expectant faith that will also know the joy of the Resurrection.

Respect and obedience to the Holy Father will ensure our Catholic identity. Full communion with our local bishop and with the Successor of St. Peter will guarantee the gift of being confirmed in the Faith. We will joyfully receive, affirm, and proclaim everything that our holy Mother, the Church, presents to us in the Creed.
